Join the Welcome Ministry and Mass Collectors Team:
Just as I believe that God extends to human beings a divine and inexhaustible welcome: the door is always open, the table always set, the arms flung wide, outstretched.”

Description of Welcome Ministry Activity
The welcome ministry plays a crucial role in shaping the first impression of the church. A warm and friendly welcome can leave a lasting positive impact on visitors. Creating a sense of community is a central aspect of a welcome ministry. Members aim to build relationships with newcomers and encourage them to get involved in the church community.
We welcome people into the church at the weekend Masses and other Parish liturgies and services. We are responsible for distributing the missalettes and the Annunciation Times newsletter. We help people find seats and orientate visitors and new parishioners to the lay out of the church. Some of our Welcome Ministers are also Mass Collectors.
Description of Mass Collectors Activity
A money basket collector at mass or service is an individual who plays a significant role in the collection of financial offerings from the congregation. As the religious service progresses, the money basket collectors pass the baskets from one congregant to another. They do so respectfully and without interrupting the flow of the service. It is important to maintain a sense of reverence and decorum.
Time Commitment
Once a week to arrive at the Church 15 minutes before mass commences to welcome parishioners. At both Christmas and Easter the time commitment is a little more with the various celebrations during these periods.
