Synodal Pathway
OVERVIEW:
Pope Francis wants to hear from us as part of his vision for a synodal church. There is now, therefore, underway a two year global synodal process of communion, participation and mission happening throughout entire Catholic Church worldwide. Every diocese is being asked to conduct its own synodal process before it moves to a national phase followed by an international coming together in October 2023. Synodality means ‘walking together’ so this process has at its heart the concept of ‘gathering’.
OUR PARISH:
We, as baptised Catholics, whether practising or not practising, are being asked to gather together in a spirit of listening to share with each other our vision for the foundations of the future of our parish and the Catholic Church.
When: Thursday March 31st from 7.30pm to 9pm
Where: St. Mary’s BNS, Grange Rd.
How: There will be questionnaires available in the back of the church from Sunday March 6th.
- We are asking all parishioners who can attend the meeting at the end of March to fill out the questionnaire and take it filled out to the meeting.
If you can attend the meeting please reserve a place by letting Jason, our parish secretary know by March 21st either by email: ParishOffice@rathfarnhamparish.com or telephone 01 4958695
- We are asking all those cannot attend the meeting to fill out the form and leave it in a box which is at the back of the church marked ‘Synod’.
As this is our chance as parishioners to have our voices heard, all contributions, whether in person or via the questionnaire left in the drop box are equally important.
