Join the Gospel Choir:
With every song we sing, may hearts be touched, lives be changed, and souls be set free.”
Description of Rathfarnham Gospel Choir (RGC) Activity
Formed in 2016, Rathfarnham Gospel Choir is a mixed-voice (SATB) group that performs a varied repertoire across a range of musical genres – from gospel and spirituals to rock and pop. We are a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming bunch of singers that loves to perform and have fun, while also striving to reach the high standards set for us by the group’s founder and musical director Fiona Baldwin.
Time Commitment
We rehearse on Mondays from 8 pm-9.30 pm in the Parish Centre and sing fortnightly at the 6.45pm Saturday Vigil Mass, as well as at various local parish fairs, community events, and fundraising concerts in the South Dublin area. Over the past number of years, we have raised funds for charities close to our hearts, including Irish Guide Dogs, Special Olympics, Simon Community, SVP and Autism Assistance Dogs of Ireland. The group is looking forward to travelling further afield in the coming year to spread the gospel sound and share our unique brand of joy!
