The past few months have been very difficult but especially so for those who have lost a loved one. Whether your loved one has died of Covid 19 or another cause the normal ritual and grieving process has been greatly affected. Often loved ones have died without the presence of close family and the funeral took place with limited numbers of family, relations and friends present. All this has surely left the bereaved feel unsupported at a time when the normal customs have been set aside.
We in Bethany on behalf of the Priests of our parish and our community wish to express our sympathy to all who have been bereaved at this time. Members of Bethany normally visit bereaved families in our parish to offer ongoing support some months after a funeral. For the present visiting has been suspended but we are available to offer telephone support by way of ‘a listening ear’.
Any person bereaved in recent times or in the past who is now finding the journey difficult and in need of support please do not hesitate to call the Bethany mobile 0872609323 or Jason in the Parish office at014958695 who will pass your no. to the Bethany team. Our empathy and support is available to all.
“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.” (Shakespeare)
