The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all the Church’s power flows.”

Description of Liturgy Ministry Activity
Liturgy forms the bedrock of any faith community’s worship and prayer. As the source and summit of our Christian life, it is very important that we take time, as a parish, to prepare our liturgies well. Rathfarnham Parish has a dedicated and diverse Liturgy Group that is committed to enlivening parish life for all by organising meaningful liturgical and paraliturgical celebrations around the key points of the church year, including: The Season of Creation, November Remembrance Service, Advent and Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter, as well as commemorating patronal and national feast days.
The group is a subgroup of the Parish Pastoral Council and its members come from various ministries in the parish. Above all, it is made up of people who have an interest in creating welcoming liturgies where we encounter God.
Time Commitment
The group meets regularly during the year to plan liturgies and lay services.
