Description of Communication Ministry
The Parish Communications Ministry plays a vital role within our church community, serving as the bridge between the Parish Ministry Team and the Parishioners. This dedicated team of volunteers is responsible for effectively conveying Parish messages, events, and activities to its Parishioners and beyond. They utilise various communication channels, such as quarterly newsletters, social media, websites, and bulletin boards, to keep parishioners informed and engaged. Additionally, the Ministry often collaborates with other church groups to promote events and initiatives, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose within the Parish. In essence, the Parish Communications Ministry serves as the voice and connection hub of the church and Parish, helping to strengthen bonds among members and extend the church’s outreach to the community.
Time Commitment
We convene once a month to plan our communication efforts. Additionally, we seek volunteers four times a year to assist in preparing and delivering our newsletter to our fellow parishioners. During these occasions, we gather at the Parish office for a few hours every three months to assemble the newsletters. This activity not only serves a practical purpose but also provides a delightful opportunity for camaraderie with fellow parishioners over a cup of tea. The distribution of newsletters to houses in our parish is organised by estate or road, fostering a sense of community connection and contribution.
