Play your part in enhancing the congregation’s worship experience.”
Description of Altar Servers Ministry
An Altar Servers role is one of reverence and support as they assist clergy in the celebration of Mass and other Church Services. Whether lighting candles or carrying sacred items, their presence and quiet dedication enhance the spiritual experience for the congregation. Altar servers embody discipline, humility, and servitude, acting as a vital link between the earthly and divine realms, carrying forward a time-honored tradition of faith and service.
Our Parish here in Rathfarnham has always had a great tradition of children being involved in the Ministry of Altar Serving. During Covid this Ministry stopped. At this stage we would like to get the Ministry back and would like to invite boys and girls from the Parish who have made their First Holy Communion to consider becoming Altar Servers.
Time Commitment
You would be asked to serve at Mass on Sunday at one of the following Masses 6.45pm on Saturday, 9.30am or 11.30am on the Sunday Morning. You will be invited to come for some training before you would serve at Mass.
